Did you miss us? This week we come with a jewel. “tidal” by Minty is a track filled with dreams and creativity, and the story behind it makes it our pick for this week.
Nothing makes me think about my current life more than remembering myself as a child, with a big hurry for growing up and become a real man, probably getting married, having some kids, becoming rich in the process, I have not fully achieved any of those anyway.
When I listen to this track, it somehow makes me remember my childhood, I used to play a lot of RPG games as a kid and the piano melody combined with the strings transport me into that safe small village in the middle of the nowhere, where you were able to rest and buy stuff before continuing the journey. The track haves the right amount of nostalgia and vibes to make it straight into our playlist.

About the Curator - Öni
Ogrys G. Taveras also know as “Öni” is a Dominican jazzhop, Lo-fi and Synthwave producer. Since his early days showed sympathy for arts and music, later for poetry and composing and finally for music production. Before every skateboarding session or long trip he usually made a playlist to it adding the songs accordingly to his mood at the moment.

This track is chill, psychedelic, like a mix, between a late-night walk and an outer space odyssey, crazy keys and burning sax solo, there are so many little details I enjoy of this track, is like if every time I listen to it I keep discovering more stuff on it, more sounds, more melodies, is just layers and layers of galaxies for our ears to explore, definitely looking forward to the full thing.
