As the guitar slowly enter the place I can only think on the sound and smell of coffee almost ready to be served, like a soft morning sun, the day almost begins, lots of things to do, lots of places to go, that is what I feel every time I listen to Soulful by L’Indecis.
This track has the perfect mix between smooth jazz lines and hip-hop beats. Going away from sampling tracks (Which are pretty common on jazz-hop/lo-fi and I personally enjoy a lot) the Sweet guitars with a cup of overdrive and reverb decorate the delicate Rhodes keys on the background, everything hold over swinging hip-hop drums.
As the track advances you can feel how synths, guitars and drums fit perfectly to transport you to a place of peace and good vibes, enjoy the ride. The panning of the guitar licks and spacey sound of the keyboards give this floaty sensation to this experience. During the bridge of the track you can feel how the guitar strings slightly touches the fretboard making everything feel so natural as life itself, maybe not perfect but beautiful on its own way.

About the Curator - Öni
Ogrys G. Taveras also know as “Öni” is a Dominican jazzhop, Lo-fi and Synthwave producer. Since his early days showed sympathy for arts and music, later for poetry and composing and finally for music production. Before every skateboarding session or long trip he usually made a playlist to it adding the songs accordingly to his mood at the moment.
