Have you felt like you had a wonderful day with your friends and family, went out a bit and returned home tired and crushed from all day? You slowly take your clothes off and crawl into the bed "to die?", Nah, "to be alone".
This small quote from the track "alone" got stuck into my head since the first time I listened to it, not just because of the meaning but for the small pauses it makes in the song every time it's said. The track has this overall lofi vibe, sampled piano loop, vinyl hum, drums with a touch of swing on it and this weird feeling of darkness and sleepy sadness, the small synth lines played during the song adds a spice of innocence to it but certainly, you know something is going on.
The anxiety this beat produces in me isn't easy to explain, I fell like I should be doing homework or something but also makes me feel like everything has a reason to be and it is good that way. The suddenly stops are like a little rest of this feeling but then it just goes again, like life itself, we are just repeating the same thing and feelings again and again but with a bit more deterioration, just as the songs do after every one of this pauses.-

About the Curator - Öni
Ogrys G. Taveras also know as “Öni” is a Dominican jazzhop, Lo-fi and Synthwave producer. Since his early days showed sympathy for arts and music, later for poetry and composing and finally for music production. This track is chill, psychedelic, like a mix, between a late-night walk and an outer space odyssey, crazy keys and burning sax solo, there are so many little details I enjoy of this track, is like if every time I listen to it I keep discovering more stuff on it, more sounds, more melodies, is just layers and layers of galaxies for our ears to explore, definitely looking forward to the full thing.
