“In The Dying Day” is a wonderful pop tune by a very gifted British artist Apostle. His brilliant debut single “Dakota Thunder Rising” was featured on Music To Celebrate Life when it came out in January 2017. We also published a rather in-depth interview with him round about that time.
“In The Dying Day” is a beautiful ballad that once again, features top-notch production. The tune grows from very little to a rather big climax lifted by huge drums, Simon-and-Garfunkel like harmonies and a very tasty Celtic/Irish-flavored synth riff. It’s yet another proof on what a talented songwriter and artist Apostle is.
If you haven’t checked out his music, you should. Even though Apostle is first and foremost a brilliant tunesmith, he is also one hell of a vocalist and truly knows his way around the guitar.
Speaking of dying days, I overheard a small kid ask his father what happens when we lose our parents. “Will I still see you?” he inquired. The father didn’t know what to say for a while. He then admitted that we aren’t really here anymore after we pass on. There was a long silence. You could see the toddler (possibly a three-year-old) thinking about what he had just heard hard. “What are you thinking about?” the father asked. “I’ll eat chocolate every day then,” his son blurted out. Quite a few us at the supermarket laughed.
