Caleborate delivers the remix to Soul featuring Big K.R.I.T. When it comes to rapping from the soul and speaking for people in the struggle, there wasn’t a better option for a track about being in the struggle than K.R.I.T. On the song Cale raps,
“What you know about no lights and water at 16
And no car to drive when you got a girl, but you chasing a dream
And you grown as fuck and they tell you to get a job and quit playing
And your bank account is so immature cause that shit ain't got no sense”
Being someone who came up in the struggle with it continuing well into my 20’s this song resonated with me and I know if you’ve ever seen the bottom, you’ll gain an immediate appreciation for not only this track, but everything prior to and post the release of Soul.
