Music changed forever with the birth of Black Sabbath. My life was also changed when I started listening to them as a teenager and they remain one of most influential bands in my life to this day. I learned to play guitar and bass to their catalog and they can be heard in some way in probably every piece of music I write.
So, this week I celebrate the 50th birthday of their classic second album Paranoid (9/18/70). It's nearly impossible to pick one song from this record, they all kill. Hand of Doom is not one of the "hits" but always stuck out for me and is a favorite of mine. Oddly enough Jimi Hendrix passed away the same day so the warning about drugs is eerie and has had me thinking the last few days, and listening to this record a lot and LOUD!

About The Curator - Danny Gordon
Danny's love affair with music started around the time he could walk. He spent countless hours in front of the record player going through his parents collection and experimented with playing violin, piano, and guitar before finding his voice on the bass in his teens.
Danny began playing in local bands in Los Angeles while studying music, eventually landing at Berklee College of Music in 1998. Following his graduation in 2001 Danny returned home and continued his career as a recording and touring bassist, most notably working with former STP singer Scott Weiland.
Danny continues to stay active in the local scene and is a devoted father teaching his children about the music he loves.
