This song holds a strong sense of passion and draws on the listener to engage on the emotion poured in by both the the producer (Insightful) and singer (Naji).
Naji never fails to deliver with amazing vocals, however this song in particular does not follow an ordinary approach to writing. Rather than singing line by line, and having an obvious verse/chorus structure, the song is held together by only a handful of lines... these lines, however, are sung with such power and raw emotion that the song never once feels lost in direction.
Similarly Insightful does not fill the track with a lot of percussion and instead focuses on having a complimentary melody and strong sound design to push the emotion of the track further.
The song follows a consistent pattern of hitting you hard when you least expect it to then drop to sullen silence; relentlessly pulling the listener in, to then swiftly let them go, thus taking the listener on a roller coaster of emotions.
This is certainly not a song fit for the radio, but it is a song fit for those with a desire to bend the rules.
