My name is Vranko, I live in Barcelona, Spain and I am a pianist and writer.
2/ Is This Something You Always Wanted To Do? What Do You Enjoy About It?
I've always like to write and have discovered so many ideas that are often found sleeping inside the music. I fantasize about what those ideas are and love to write out my interpretation of the track.
3/ Tell Us About Your First Musical Memory - Why Do You Think You Remember It?
My sisters used to listen to lot of pop music in the 80s when I was a kid. So my first memories are from pop artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elton John or Simon and Garfunkel. These kind of people were my first listenings!
4/ Who Did You Make Your First Mixtape / Playlist For - What Was The Result - Did They Dig It?
Of course It was for a girl that I liked. It was a very cool mix in fact. The result was great but I didn't get to sleep with her!
5/ What Made You Go Online And Search About Music Curation?
I'm doing a postgrad in music business in Barcelona and I see a lot of new possibilities developing in this sector of the industry.
6/ Tell us about the name of your Playlist - where did that come from?
Music to a strange night. The name came from one night in Oporto which was particularly strange. kind of like a Scorsese after hours movie. It got me thinking that there ought to be a soundtrack for those kind of moments!
7/ What does a track have to have to make it onto your list, is there something special that you look for?
Well, for this list I am looking for music that paints some mysterious atmosphere. Intriguing voices or dreamy ones (in female case) and transporting melodies.
8/ What can an artist do in their track submission to your list to ensure that you'll listen to their track?
That they understand the concept behind the playlist - that's it's about strangeness - if they can give me a good explanation as to why the track would fit - I will listen.
