Smooth Scots pop art geeks Franz Ferdinand supplied this song for the excellent awareness-raising 30 days 30 Songs project in the lead-up to the US Presidential election, organised by Secretly Group's Phil Waldorf.

The songs were collected to raise funds for organisations under threat from Donald Trump's manifesto policies, including All Above All, which campaigns for abortion rights, and People's Climate Movement, which campaigns for the reduction of greenhouse gas and toxic pollution.

The lyrics of Demagogue don't identify any particular world leader, but whoever he is, he's got "tiny vulgar fingers on the nuclear bomb". Who could they possibly mean?
