My favorite part of this song starts at 2:24. I turn it up so loud in my car specifically at that part because the combination of the trumpets and his voice is so beautiful and it just describes what I’m feeling.

One of my favorite television series is One Tree Hill and it’s definitely because I identify with one of the characters so much, Peyton Sawyer. She was a young woman growing up in Tree Hill who loved music so much that her storyline always linked back to her love for music. So in Peyton’s words “Sometimes things find you when you need them to find you. I believe that. and for me it’s usually songs lyrics (Peyton Sawyer, One Tree Hill)”.

The lyrics are emotional, romantic, but at the same time honest. You can hear the longing behind Dev’s airy voice, which is accompanied by an upbeat guitar riff. Throughout the song you can hear and feel everything Dev is trying to portray because you can sense the hopelessness and distress.
