Character, energy, variation, production quality, originality… this track has it all!
The track begins with a subtle melody which then quickly progresses into a wild frenzy of energetic drums and diverse synths, which vary from subtle plucks to intense arpeggios that will have you bouncing off the walls…
Slowly Losing It – Alex Martian

The complexity to this track is truly amazing. The track is full of energy and bounce, provided by the groovy percussion and lush synths and arpeggios, which will leave you thoroughly entertained. This is topped off with some precisely chopped vocals, which only enhance the funky, soulful vibe of the track…
Murder – Lido
13 March 2018
This track must be one of the most extraordinary listening experiences I have ever had!
The track begins with pitched vocals and a soft melody. This smoothly progresses into a wild frenzy of a drop filled with lush synths and insanely intricate drum patterns, which will leave you in amazement…
24K – Mo Vibez
28 February 2018
This track is one of the wonkiest beats I’ve ever heard. For an instrumental to amaze me it must have two things: unique sound design and BOUNCE. This track excels tremendously in both!
drunk – Monte Booker

Every time I listen to this track it takes me somewhere else. For me personally this is the almost complete embodiment of what this playlist is about. Its so far outside the box that the first time I heard it I was slightly unsure of what to make of it. However, I remember feeling very intrigued… so intrigued in fact that I had to listen to it again and again, to the point that my curiosity became an obsession. For days I had this track on repeat, and every time I listened to it I felt like my mind was drifting to another world.
bunker buddies (prod. By jrd.) – Zamir
7 February 2018
This track has some of the most unique lyrical content I’ve heard in a very long time! The content of rap music is typically orientated and sex, love and money, however this track not only goes in a completely different direction, but it also does so in a tastefully amusing way.
Gassed – WESLEE

When I first heard this song, from the moment it began, I felt immediate chills go throughout my body. The song begins with an interestingly warped sampled vocal, which acts as one of the key elements of the track throughout. This gives the track an immersive, mysteriously dark vibe.
Faded – Krys Talk
5 January 2018
When I first heard the start of this song, I expected it to be a fun, club type beat with the DJ mustard sounding bassline and catchy melody, however as the song progresses I quickly learned that not all was as it seemed…
Still Not Good Enough – Rasiir
5 January 2018
This is most certainly a track that deserves far more recognition than it has received. The thing that grabbed me most about this track was the atmosphere Rasiir has created; I love the combination of percussion and sound effects with the left-to-right panning, to create the encapsulating listening experience.
You Gon’ Learn Some Jazz Today – Masego
5 January 2018
I first heard this song at a friend’s house in a very quiet, relaxed setting. We were having a very deep conversation until this song started…Within 20 seconds of the song starting we were jumping around the room in a frenzy of hype and excitement to this song.
As Of Late – Insightful and Naji

This song holds a strong sense of passion and draws on the listener to engage on the emotion poured in by both the the producer (Insightful) and singer (Naji).
All I Know – Wize
14 December 2017
For years I have been a huge fan of this producer, and even now this is by far my favourite from him. I feel this song is a prime example of breaking the rules.
