Jim Kremidas

Jim is a nomadic musician who has lived all over the country, making friends through his congenial manner, and his stellar, multi-instrumentalist chops. He plays all stringed instruments that don’t require a bow, including acoustic and electric guitar, pedal steel, mandolin, dobro, dulcimer, ukulele and banjo. Jim plays many of these instruments on Hold On Tight. “I play music wherever I am, and I find playing pedal steel is a good foot in the door for playing with new people I meet,” Jim says. In addition to fitting into a variety of roots and rock-based settings, Jim also possess a bold adventurous streak. He enjoys making familiar instruments sound unfamiliar, and often runs his pedal steel through synthesizers.
